I am a Kennel Club Accredited Instructor (KCAI))(CD)(GCDS)Advanced with City & Guilds NPTC and abide by The Kennel Club code of practice for instructors, which covers health & safety issues including having appropriate insurance.

I am a KC Accredited Instructor in Companion Dog Training at advanced level, also The Good Citizen Dog Scheme at Advanced level.

I have also achieved the (PDTI) Pet Dog Training Instructors award at Harper Adams University College.

I live in Biddulph Park which is situated in Staffordshire Moorlands on the edge of Stoke- On-Trent, Staffordshire. (3 miles from Congleton).

Animals have always been a part of my life – dogs, cats, birds and ponies. My first dog was a miniature poodle while I was still at junior school. We went everywhere together. When I left school I saved all my wages to buy a 1 year old pony. The poodle was still with us and the three of us spent every hour we could together.

When I got married I inherited my husbands Labrador Cindy. (pictured with Susie the Westie & Zola) This dog was very noise sensitive, but was fine with the pony, and used to come with me in all weathers when I went out to feed the pony.

In 1984 I had my first (GSD) German Shepherd Dog (Zola). She was a great character, but after a vicious attack by another GSD when she was only 10 months old changed her whole outlook on life.

This event made me seek help and attend classes at Danesford Obedience Dog training Club. With their help and support Zola became more settled and went on to gain the Bronze Good Citizen award. I still value their continued support.

That started my interest in dog training and I have continued to attend this very friendly and professional club ever since. In 1990 I joined the committee and started helping in some of the classes. I     was treasurer for 9 years, I have become Secretary for Danesfords annual Open Obedience Show,     I also attended a Kennel Club Show Management Seminar, which I found very helpful.                                                                                                                                                            ZOLA

In 1994 I took on another GSD puppy (Viktor), and started putting my experience into practice and trained

for competitive obedience. Viktor went on to gain his Gold Good Citizen and won in obedience. He also acted as a “demo dog” at our classes.

During the next few years I continued to improve my teaching skills and worked with other instructors, running bronze and silver and gold Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Scheme (KCGCDS) at Danesford. I contined to study different aspects of dog training and looked into dog behaviour as well as instructing techniques.

In 1997 I took on a 4-year old rescue GSD (Tara). Despite a hard life, she had a good nature, but had severe behavioural and health problems to work through.     In 2000 she made me proud by winning in obedience.

In 2002 I took on my 4th GSD (April) a long coated bitch. She has competed in obedience, passed her Gold KCGCDS and did flyball and agility. She also takes part in our club agility demonstrations.

July 2007 had my 5th GSD (Tasha) she is a very excitable girl and loves to work. She is now taking part in

competitions and is doing well.

APRIL                          Now retired from competitions but still enjoys to play.

I joined the (KCAI) Kennel Club Accredited Instructor scheme in 2002 when it was in its pilot stage. I then worked towards and passed the accreditation in 2007 for Companion Dog Training. I was the first Dog Trainer in Staffordshire to attain this qualification.

In 2008 I trained a team to appear at Crufts to demonstrate The Kennel Club Bronze Good Citizen Dog Scheme.

We took part in displays over two days.

In 2008 I opened Best K9 School at Eaton church hall and became a Kennel Club listed society for The Good Citizen scheme.

In 2010 The KCAI Scheme was endorsed by The City and Guilds NPTC. I was invited to take part in the presentation at Crufts.

I have attended many courses and seminars over the years to gain knowledge and experience.         QUALIFICATIONS:-
